Mostly people who write and who like real conversations have repeatedly noted that this is the best platform for that and that they miss it, and then continued to post snippets with limited response needed to the other networks.
Those of us who don't write much have watched sadly... and also posted snippets to those other networks - largely because of the quality/ease of use of the mobile apps.
Looking at it afresh, it actually looks to me like Livejournal remains an excellent platform for writing on. I'm feeling tempted to start writing stuff here again - having your own blog hosted on a static domain is a great way to have a pointless blog that nobody reads, but posting essays on Facebook can be just plain scary.
I think you're up to date on Deo's health, the games shop and the cats, which mostly covers what I've been doing for at least the past five years. I keep promising myself I'll write more things about the (tabletop) games industry, which I will do on here if it comes to fruition, and I keep failing to write.
Nice to see you back here. I'm still reading but not posting as much as I could. I keep thinking I'm due an update but not getting round to it. It would only likely be mostly about Matthew anyway :)
